Cast Products, Inc. History

1966 - Cast Products, Inc. was founded by partners Paul Salata, Adolph “Duffy” Paquet and William Vichotka in Skokie, Illinois.

1970 - Moved and expanded operations to Harwood Heights, Illinois.

1983 - Relocated to larger facility in Norridge, Illinois.

1987 - William Vichotka sold his interest in the company to remaining partners.

1987 - Acquisition of Nu-Die Tool, Co. in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

1989 - Purchased first Techmire four-slide die casting machine.

1992 - Founding partner, Adolph “Duffy” Paquet, retired after 26 years with Cast Products, Inc. and 42 years with Nu Die Tool, Co.

1996 - Founding partner, Paul Salata, retired following 30 years in die casting.

1996 - Transition to second generation ownership by Zoli Salata, Ron Paquet and Helen Salata.

1998 - Took delivery of the world’s first Techmire 8x8 die casting machine.

2000 - Registered to ISO 9002:1994 quality system standard.

2002 - Awarded patent # 6,422,297 B2 for “quick change” die system.

2003 - Consolidated tooling operation to Norridge facility.

2004 - Upgraded to ISO 9001:2000 quality system standard.

2005 - Awarded patent # 6,874,561 for high speed scale.

2007 - Awarded NADCA International Die Casting Competition Award in the “Zinc Die Casting Under 6 Oz.” category.

2008 - Implementation and monitoring of continuous improvement activities and solicitation of new business opportunities.

2008 - Awarded NADCA International Die Casting Competition Awards in the “Zinc Die Casting Under 6 Oz.” and in the “Zinc Die Casting Over 6 Oz.” categories.

2009 - Awarded NADCA International Die Casting Competition Award in the “Zinc Die Casting Under 6 Oz.” category.

2009 - Awarded International Magnesium Association Award for Process Category.
